Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu
Miyo Sasaki has tried for two years to get Kento Hinode to notice her, and his standard response to her enthusiasm has been polite confusion. She acquires a Noh mask from an old festival vendor that can transform her into a small white cat. As the cat, she gets into Kento's house, sleeps on his pillow, and learns the parts of his life he never tells anyone — his father's hospital bills, his mother's absence, his unraveling family pottery business. She has to choose, with the mask's deadline approaching, whether to keep being the cat he can confide in or the girl who has to start over from scratch.
