The only girl in the Karakuri Tenements. At 13 years old, she is the fifth oldest there, and takes care of the younger two brothers Chinpi and Sanshou. Has a rather fiery personality, and tends to get irritated with Shichimi at times, refusing to acknowledge him as an older brother. Has a crush on Asajirou, the second oldest, and was trained by him in swordmanship.

Natane's actually not one of the siblings. Her father was married to Furon's mother, which made Furon her step-brother and the real sibling of Shichimi and the rest. Furon accidentally killed her father during a training session and disappeared soon afterwards, stricken by guilt. Soon after Natane's mother also passed away due to sorrow, after giving Natane a nut (a gift from the shogun, his biological father, to the women he had met), which resulted in the rest believing Natane was one of the shogun's children.
