I came across this manga through a friend, he spammed me and urged me to check this masterpiece out. When I checked the anilist page for it I thought he was out of his mind. 2 chapters?? But as I scrolled through the description, looked at the rating and genres (there was boys' love) I got really excited and decided why not, it's only 2 chapters. It can't be that bad right?
I should've thought it can't be THAT good because the next 20 seconds changed my entire life and philosophical look on everything. This review WILL contain spoilers so unless you want to experience this magnum opus by yourself LEAVE NOW.
Now that is out of the way lets start. The title of this manga uh kinda spoils you the ending BUT TRUST ME THERES SOOO MUCH MORE than gorilla dying in one day. THERES A FUCKING ALTERNATIVE ENDING! This is a new concept in manga and I really hope it catches on with other authors as I can really see how it can affect the reading experience and the takeaway. This manga leaves you no breathing air and the first chapter starts with a beautifully drawn panel. The gorilla says "I die tomorrow" now at this point I was really close to crying, but I wasn't even halfway in. I HAD TO FINISH IT. The next chapter shows a really disturbing but captivating panel.

Now look I've never cried reading a manga (I've read 1) but this panel broke me down. THE SHADING, THE BUILDUP. I HAD TO cry.
I'm sure a lot of people did as well, explains why this manga is the number one rated this year: 
At this point most readers, swimming in tears, thought it's done; but the author does not let you go. The last chapter (alternative ending) is really important in the lore. Chapter three shows our MC sitting next to a wall while there is a white banana on the floor. A lot of fans on twitter have speculated what this chapter meant.
As you can see in the ending, the gorilla dies which leaves you in a state of imagination. It makes u wonder what might have lead to this tragic event. Perhaps the gorilla have been bullied by his friends (if he had any), or he got dumped by his gf (cuz he is ugly) OR he might have been a human and got isekaid into a gorilla and didn't know how to live in the jungle so he died as u can see in the alternative ending.
You might think this is a whole joke but this manga changed my life. People used to call me a loser and a weeb but now I'm so popular and everybody likes me!
(Btw you might have thought this review is a joke but everything I said is completely serious and I implore to read the manga if you haven't read it yet. Can't wait for the anime/adaptation of this piece of art. It might be an OVA perhaps?)
