Data & Submissions
I found a missing entry, wrong title, or broken cover. How do I report it?
Please use the contact form and select “Data correction.” Include the entry URL and a one-line description of what’s wrong. We don’t have a self-service submission queue yet, so a small team processes reports manually.
How do I see adult (18+) entries?
Adult entries are hidden by default. Open Settings → Media and toggle “Show 18+ content” — it applies to browse, search, and profile views on this device.
My list shows different counts than other tracker sites. Is one wrong?
Neither is wrong. Different trackers split or merge series differently — a 4-cour show might be one entry on us and four on another site. The numbers diverge because the entry definitions diverge, not because anyone is miscounting.
Account
I forgot my password.
Use the “Forgot password” link on the login page. We’ll email a reset link valid for 1 hour. If the email doesn’t arrive, check spam first; some providers (Outlook in particular) hold our mail for review.
I never received the verification email.
Same checklist: spam folder first, then wait up to 10 minutes — some providers introduce deliberate delays. If it still hasn’t arrived, request another from the verify-email page or message us via the contact form.
Can I change my username?
Open Settings → Account. You can change your handle once every 30 days; reserved names (admin, moderator, waifora, etc.) and names matching our profanity list are blocked.
Can I claim a username from an inactive account?
Send a request via the contact form with the username you’re asking for. We grant claims for accounts with no public activity for at least 3 years; we’ll verify and reply.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings → Privacy and use “Delete account.” This removes your profile, lists, reviews, posts, and activity. Some moderation logs are retained for abuse-prevention purposes (see our privacy policy).
Profile & Lists
How do I add formatting / images to my bio?
The About box on your profile uses Markdown — bold (**text**), italic (_text_), images (img(https://...)), spoilers (~!hidden!~), and standard [link](https://...) syntax all work. See the welcome thread for the full syntax cheat-sheet.
Why does my activity history have gaps?
The heatmap on your profile counts publicactivities per day. List updates merged into a single activity (when you log multiple episodes in one sitting) count once. Updates on private list entries don’t appear in the heatmap at all.
What’s the difference between Average Score and Mean Score?
Mean Score is the straight average of every user score. Average Scoreis weighted to dampen entries with very few ratings — a 9.8 from 4 users shouldn’t outrank an 8.2 from 4,000 users, and weighting fixes that.
Which scoring formats are supported?
100-point decimal (e.g. 87.4), 10-point decimal (e.g. 8.7), 10-point integer, 5 stars, and 3-point smiley. All are stored internally as 1–100 with fixed conversion points (5-star → 10/30/50/70/90; smiley → 35/60/85). Choose your format in Settings → Lists.
Can I make custom lists beyond Watching / Completed / Planning?
Yes — create them under Settings → Lists. Custom lists appear as additional sections on your library page and you can drop entries into them from the list editor.
Why is an entry missing from my list?
Most likely it’s marked private. Open the list editor for that entry and uncheck “Private” — it’ll re-appear in your public lists and on the global score for that title.
When can I write a review?
Reviews are unlocked once an entry has finished airing/publishing AND you’ve made meaningful progress (75%+). Currently-airing shows past their second year are also eligible. We do this so reviews reflect the work, not first impressions.
Miscellaneous
How do I suggest a feature?
Open a thread in the discussions forum under “Site Feedback,” or send the idea via the contact form. We read everything; not everything ships, but the rationale gets factored in.
Can I export my list?
Anime/manga lists are exportable from Settings → Lists as JSON. We don’t currently produce MAL-format XML; if you need that, message us and we’ll point you at a converter.
Is there an API?
Not yet — the public REST/GraphQL surface is on our roadmap but not stable. For one-off requests (research, fan projects), get in touch and we’ll work something out.
Where can I follow updates?
Site changes ship to the discussions board under “Site News.”

Discussion & Social
How do I make someone unfollow me?
Use the soft-block trick: open their profile, block them, then unblock them immediately. The block clears their follower-of-you state; unblocking restores normal interaction without re-following.
Why can’t I see a user’s profile?
Either they’ve set their profile to private (only followers can see) or they’ve blocked you. Trying to circumvent a block (alt accounts, asking friends to relay messages) violates our community guidelines.
How do I report a post / thread / user?
Every post has a report button (the flag icon next to the like). For profiles, use the dropdown next to “Follow.” Reports go to a moderation queue and are reviewed manually. You can’t report yourself, and frivolous reports may earn a warning. Full guidelines: community welcome thread.
My activity isn’t in the global feed.
List activities only appear in the global feed once they have a reply — otherwise the feed gets flooded with auto-generated “watched ep 1” entries from active users. Followers see your activity regardless of replies.
How do I appeal a ban or moderation action?
Send an email or use the contact form with subject “Ban appeal”. Include your username and a brief case for why the decision should be reconsidered. Creating alt accounts to evade a ban will extend it and may permanently bar all your accounts.
