Shigeru Mizuki’s Hitler shows a totally different perspective of a fascinating and terrible time of history. While significant parts of Hitler's time as Führer are left out (I will come back to that later), Mizuki's take is a fascinating one and something that not just any mangaka could do.
It's a book about Hitler. Come on.
In all honesty, Mizuki did a good job of trying to see into Hitler's mind, but it's still terrible what he did, and Mizuki skipped everything but the war. I would have loved to see more of Hitler's relationships, and how he affected those around him.

Mizuki is a master of artistry, and that is very true in Hitler. Seeing someone that everyone knows with frazzled hair and a fuzzy mustache (Hitler) was so weird at first, but I really started to enjoy Mizuki's style in this book. I would have enjoyed more two-page art pieces, like in Mizuki's Showa series, but the art in this book is phenomenal.While very interesting and informative, it was quite slow at times. I would have liked to see more of the Jews's perspective, like at the start of the book. I could really see their fear as they heard a car drive by, crammed in a closet.
