“This Gorilla Will Die In One Day” is a masterpiece and soon to be classic.
This manga is definitely one of a kind, only once before have I been invested in the journey of a gorilla’s life (R.I.P Harambe). I think that it is quite possible for this to stand the test of time. Although it may be short, only containing two chapters with one panel, it still has enough content to enlighten my, and your, view of the world by perfectly encapsulating the true meaning of what life is, which is death. There is no doubt in my mind, absolutely ZERO, that it will become an integral part for all of society. Once governments and schools come into contact with this work of art, life as we know it will dramatically change for the better. I can’t wait till it’s a part of the curriculum in schools, then there will be even more reasons for people to have children. Luckily, the story itself is consistent all the time, and the fascinating artwork was just the cherry on top which made it all the more spectacular. It holds a special place in my heart, even making me shed tears, not to mention that perfect ending which managed to conclude everything it set up.
Original ending: (Spoilers) In those short two chapters we had to bear the death of the gorilla, and its impact was much harder than any other death I've witnessed in any written works. You only have one day to get to know the gorilla, but that’s more than enough time. Learning that he is accepting for the unfortunate fate which was bestowed upon him. This story will show how others won’t know the exact time or day they will die, so it's best to tie up any loose ends so you, and others, won't have questions or regrets looking back. Strangely enough, this gorilla seemed to be informed that he was going to die, but he was prepared for that day. It allowed him to die with no regrets (as far as we know), which is one of the most peaceful and happy ways to go. After careful inspection it could even be argued that he had a tiny smile on his face as he went.
Onto the alternative ending, which somehow takes the original ending and makes it trillions of times better. Dying right next to an open banana, now that is something no animal or person would want to happen to them. Imagine you're about to eat your favorite meal or snack, then as you are about to take a bite you die. In this scenario the gorilla was unable to die happily, his life ended without being able to complete eating his banana, now it will just stay there to slowly rot like him. It's amazing how this shows people that any undone works one has left (writings, art, games, etc.) will be left there, possibly to never be picked back up. If it is picked back up, that will be somewhat great, but also somewhat not. The gorilla used all its remaining strength to enjoy a meal, but now some other random animal will go eat something that he used all his power on. This could apply to people dying before they finish their literary work, now someone else comes and picks up where they left off trying to make the story just as the original author did, but it wouldn't be the same.
TL;DR:
Complete things that are important to you in life so that there won’t be any regrets. Reject humanity and return to monke.
