Not much to say, edgy bloody manga full of death and average characters.
The only good ones are Power and Reze rest are bad to average. Don't really get why people are hyping up the anime and saying it will be amazing.
Yeah it's not bad, but the amount of praise I have seen online is way too much for this one lol
The art is okay, seen better but also seen worse. The gory parts are the best part of the series.
The main character starts off as a child (mentally) would say around 12 or 13 in certain parts but like sub 10 in another mental task. He does not get better nor does he really develop as a character. He says the same throughout the entire series only caring about good food and doing pervy things with women.

The ending felt forced like an axe, not sure if it got axed or not. But that is the way the ending felt like when I read it. The way they hyped up the big bad gun demon and then did what they did with the ending felt cheap, this series could easily need around 150-200 chapters to be really good and have some more character growth. but none of that happens. Characters either stay the same even in life-changing situations or they die before they have any meaningful screen time. While I liked what they did with makima, her story needed more build-up, felt too quick to get to the point where her storyline came to a conclusion. Hated her, however, from the first chapters to the last ones, she was a socially manipulative sociopathTo summarize, chainsaw man is an average manga with fairly unoriginal unfun characters for the most part with a story that ended too early and its art being average. The manga's core words could be: Average, edgy, gory, too short.

err, since I still need more to even be allowed to post my review I guess I can write some more about it here. These will be heavy spoilers so don't read if you have not read it or simply don't care

Our boy MC is stuck working for the mafia, he kills devils as a black market devil hunter thanks to his dead pops debt. After years of child labor, the mafia gets greedy and takes a devil's offer. The devil tries to kill him, thanks to his pet devil he used to kill other devils tho, that plan did not work so well. MC becomes part human part devil and kills them, after some time devil hunters come and find him alone with corpses. They take the now passed-out MC to their headquarters and hire him, and now his life as a state devil hunter starts. From here he meets people who are both normal people but also devilmen. These people don't really matter to him as he became a sociopath from being raised by the mafia, so when a mission goes wrong and one of the group leaders dies, he feels nothing. He just eats some food and is on his way to the next day. Rinse and repeat this for like 50 chapters until some plot starts to move, we learn more and more about chainsaw devil. but also the gun devil. after some lore, it goes back to randomly killing off characters, both well-known and unknown background charters you saw for like 20 pages total. You then get near the end and you find out that gun devil is dead and they have been chasing him for no reason. The team gets depressed and then makima does a 180 and reveals she is the bad guy and kills off most people that you probably care about that are left. After some fighting, she dies and gets revied but her memories are gone so MC now shall raise the new one so she doesn't grow up to be a bitch. All likable characters are dead and MC becomes a hero-worshiped by normal humans, the end.Spoiler, click to view
if you can't tell I did not think this was very good, and I am salty the internet praises this when there are better non completed and completed series out there, while you have probably read it or seen it, go to hunter x hunter instead.
