Classroom of the elite is definitely one of the best anime I have watched so far if not the best. As I want another season so badly there was no news of it so I started reading light novel and I am really glad that I started reading it.

When I watched its anime I though it was good but after reading LN I realize anime have so much content which is missing or can't be realized easily . There is so much psychology and anime can't show them cause there is so much which can't be show but can be put in words like what a character is thinking when planning or taking action.

Now lets talk about main character Ayanokouji. First of all i don't like people or any fictional character who are cold and don't show any mercy but I really like Ayanokouji. Even if he is really mean and don't care about anyone at all but if there is a way he can develop someone into a strong person he takes action accordingly. I don't want to put any kind of spoiler so i am not going to give any example. I also like how much he understands how human works and their thought process. He take all scenario into consideration and make plan accordingly.

Most anime, manga, manhwa and light novel with overpowered character as their main character have one thing in common i.e they all have crappy reason to be overpowered or because he is main character and that's how it works but in classroom of the elite, there is a reason why he is shown as a overpowered character. He was trained from the moment he came into world to be the strongest soldier, to be the one who can overcome any hurdle and will lead future of Japan. During his training period, his comrades keep falling which explains his nature as well.

Even after considering all amazing factors and all, it all comes down to story and plots. Classroom of the elite sound pretty average as well but it's actually not. As story progress, realization comes that most of the scenario were being manipulated by Ayonokouji. He manipulated her classmate Horikita to make a plan to avoid certain crises( Volume 2 refrence). Not all things go as he planned but for the most part it does.

Overall I say I am so glad i started reading light novel. Adaptation is not bad but some content is missing and some scenario are not same. I would recommend to read light novel. It's quite popular and it lives up expectation and hype as well.
It's my fist light novel as well. I used to read some novel and books here and there but was not into it too much. Classroom of the elite got me hooked to light novels.

Plot is amazing and story is good as well. Give it go. I believe you won't regret it and time you put will give you amazing experience.
