Frankly I think all of the main characters are trash people and make bad decisions not just for themselves but for other people. They all make selfish decisions but make excuses for it and cope by saying shit like "I'm protecting them". Not going to spoil specifically what happens but these are all lies they tell themselves to keep searching people to themselves and away from others. All selfishness and hypocrisy. they all seem to struggle with either gender identity, sexuality, or both, but deal with this in massively self-destructive ways. Especially Mikako Nagao. Incredibly manipulative and self-serving behavior under the guise of "protecting" yuki from other people she deems bad or unworthy, among many other things. Yuki seems way too timid with the other two MCs behavior; letting certain things slide that most reasonable people would not let go unpunished just because she does not want to make a scene or potentially make someone uncomfortable. Even she at the time barely knows said person. Kaito it's also manipulative for the most part- using girlfriends from money and pleasure and nothing more, while allowing other people to use their money without their permission (my apologies if this sounds vague but I'm trying not to spoil too much). He will openly talk bad about people behind their backs unless they happen to people he genuinely likes and cares about. He's not a complete piece of shit though since he at least tries to convince Makiko to leave the nightlife. He actually seems genuinely concerned about her safety and well-being, even though he has an unhealthy obsession with her up until near the end of the story. Yuki seems to be the least shitty out of the three but she still has major issues. A bunch of lying. A bunch of manipulation. I repeatedly questioned if the characters actually gave a shit about each other. I know for a fact Mikako is willing to fuck over and humiliate pretty much anyone if that means she gets what she wants. I guess her traumatic shitty childhood living in poverty and being abused massively contributed to that. She seems to think all men are sex obsessed animals and think that they always have an ulterior motive. She thinks this way about her cliants she seems to think this way about Kaito. Yuki it's the only person she loves and gives a shit about but will also be willing to hurt and abuse her if she is pissed off or thanks he is not appreciated enough. Also Kaito and Makiko try way too damn hard to change the way she acts and dresses. They have a preconceived notion of what they THINK she's "supposed to" or "should be" and repeatedly try to change her or convince her that her genuine self is somehow wrong. I'm probably forgetting or leaving out a lot of other stuff too but overall the story wasn't that enjoyable to me.
In conclusion: Fuck Sho-chan. All my homies hate sho-chan
