In a season of very popular and expected anime, Bocchi the Rock! has always been there too, watching the trailers the premises that had arisen for me were high, always joking with friends saying "this is the best seasonal anime of fall 2022 !" without even starting it yet, well I wasn't sure I wasn't wrong at all, but I didn't expect it to exceed my expectations even more and even less I expected it to do it for the web.

A story with a theme that has become widely treated in the anime world: social anxiety; this may seem repetitive, however Bocchi the Rock! treats it in an even more realistic, masterful and unique way, all this also thanks to one of its 3 most strong points, comedy.
The way in which the development of our protagonist Bocchi is treated is natural and perfect paced, in fact we will see how Bocchi grows gradually thanks to her willpower, as far as possible and natural as her personality allows; the theme of the Slice of Life is obviously used as an expedient, with which the characters will also evolve and thanks to their small and simple adventures, again made perfect thanks to another of its strong points, the technical side in general (which I will talk about in the relevant section).

Yes, the guitarist Bocchi was the character I liked the most, in fact also thanks to being able to identify with her in a certain sense.
So she being the protagonist is the one who obviously had more development and more screentime, but let's also talk about the other members of the Kessoku Band.

Come on, I don't think there's much to discuss about this particular aspect, I think the strongest point of this series.
CloverWorks has made a visually gorgeous anime again.
All this is insanely beautiful to the human eye, starting from the very realistic and colorful backgrounds.
It's amazing how a 4-koma manga can be directed in such a unique and crazy way, perhaps the most unique I've seen since watching anime.
The animation is clean and smooth as already seen in other products of this studio.
Now I'll show you some examples of the direction of Keiichirou Satou.

When the "Unda" song starts playing, you know shit is getting real.

Here we have an example of Bocchi going cyberpunk mode.

And here we have the death of our hero, Goodbye to Hitori Gotou.
---Well, I think I've shown you enough, go give Bocchi the Rock a watch if you want to see the full scene in all of its epicity.
Music is of course always on point.
Spotify link to the official playlist of all the songs:
linkBocchi the Rock is one of the most unique and creative anime you'll ever see (if not the most one), full of references to famous series (like Dragon Ball or Ashita no Joe) and it is a MUST WATCH for Slice of Life enjoyers in particular but not just them, please watch Bocchi the Rock!
Thanks to the staff of CloverWorks for having put a genuine effort and passion into bringing my personal AOTY 2022 to life and made me entertained for this period of 3 months (announce season 2 as soon as possible please)!
I apologize again for any grammatical mistake and the choice and probable annoying repetition of some words.
I also thank from the heart to all of you who have read my review without skipping directly to the bottom to read the score :)
