#Countering reasons this show is hated
The premise for the show must be accepted and not thoroughly considered in order to enjoy it. The show should make it clearer at the start that it’s not intended to be realistic. For example, in Classroom of the Elite, the author still leaves the question of whether they are in our present-day world unanswered, but immediately states that the school is abnormal with little intervention from teachers and interaction with the outside.
Do I wish the characters were stated to be 18, 19? Yes. But can I ignore it? If the show is good enough. When I accepted this and got into the show, I would think about the characters like they are 18.
The show does have some references to sexual content but never in a way that portrays characters as hot because they are underage. Hina seems to be created for the story, to be loved by Mitchi more than the audience (maybe I just dislike her).
I appreciate being torn over the many possible directions the show can go and being frustrated in the lack of logic in the way things end up happening. Events don't always go how they should. But it is important to me that the ending is satisfying when the intermediate story is not (I have to mention Code Geass as per my username). I previously stated, "With the time skips, I am confident one iteration will have an epic conclusion" but according to the manga readers, this is not the case.
I hate Takebitchi and I love the anime more because of him. Mitchy is an idiot, coward, hypocrite, and dumb soapy romantic. But I consider the show’s ability to elicit my strong feelings towards him as a sign of an impactful work. And the side characters become even more awesome in comparison.
Is he on my current computer background? Yes, but only because it’s a very pretty non-canon (fan fiction only) BL (gay) scene with Mikey. Mikey hott.
