WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THE CRINGE
So here's a CRINGY review:
Oh boy, talk about a pleasant surprise that completely turned my day around! I stumbled upon this hidden gem called "More Than A Married Couple, But Not Lovers" and, let me tell you, it's everything I never knew I needed. I was feeling pretty low, but the hilarious antics and banter in this show swooped right in and lifted my spirits. And can we talk about the English dub for a second? I mean, it's pure gold! The unique animation and art style also caught my eye and drew me in further.
Now, as for the story, I'll admit I was a little skeptical at first when trying to decipher that peculiar title. However, my skepticism vanished the moment I saw how well the show was playing out its oddball premise. The jokes and "tension" between the characters tie everything together to create a captivating web of humor and intrigue. And the unknown – oh, the unknown (characters not knowing who loves who, who supports who, who they should love, or some don't even know what to do) – just adds another layer of hilarity to the mix!
Oh my goodness, what a run indeed! I can't get over how captivating this series has been, especially with episode 11. You just can't help but binge-watch all day, every day. And yes, can we take a moment to talk about that whipped cream scene? I never thought whipped cream could get so intense and sexual - but I'm not complaining, it definitely keeps things enjoyable! It's fascinating how this love/school anime managed to blend in a captivating story and feel, even though at first, it seemed to be just another series to get lost in.
Episode 11 was great and saddening at the same time for Akari. Akari's brave confession to Minami was so heartwarming, and it's incredible to see how much both characters have grown from this experience. The honesty shared between them just takes my breath away. As for the path that's just opened up for Jirou, I'm honestly at a loss for words on how this will change him, but I can't wait to see where it takes him. The emotional ripples, heartstrings tugged, and challenges to come – it's all so incredibly intriguing! The journey ahead for these characters promises to be a rollercoaster, and I'm thrilled to be along for the ride!
NGL I'm going to root for Akari, mainly because her interests are more idk "mature." Don't get me wrong, Shiori, being a childhood friend, brings her own charm and appeal to the story. Regardless, there's something about Akari's perspective that makes me feel more connected and invested in her. So, while I appreciate Shiori's presence in the story and her unique qualities, I'll still be cheering on Akari as we uncover more about her character!
I can't wait for season two like it needs to be out rn!!35 out of 45 users liked this review
