The whole anime takes place in his apartment and they sit on the couch every episode. If only there were more scenes outside the apartment, I would rate this anime higher. This anime got as boring as shikimori for me. I heard the light novel is better and I might read it to see the difference. I am honestly disappointed with this anime, since it started off pretty strong but got repetitive. The main girl is cute but not enough to carry the whole show for me. The art and animation is okay but the npcs in the show are drawn pretty strange from the main characters. The only spicy scenes happen in dreams as well, for example episode 9. I also feel like the progression is slow and I was mostly waiting for some more drama and tense situations. As I write this review, they go back to the couch about every 5 mins, kind of ridiculous if you ask me. The studio really did save lots of money by only having to draw the couch and the wall behind.
If I was to compare this anime to Kaguyasama love is war which also takes place in one room (the student council room), This anime takes the cake for going back to the couch and his apartment more times than kaguyasama's characters sit on the couch in the student council room across all the seasons.
The anime in question is a prime example of a series that falls short in its execution. The premise of the show, set entirely in one apartment, initially piqued my interest. However, the lack of variety in settings and the repetitive nature of the characters sitting on the same couch every episode quickly became tedious.
The plot itself is rather unremarkable, and the slow progression of the story did not help in keeping me engaged. I found myself waiting for some exciting drama or tense moments that never seemed to materialize. While I appreciate the efforts of the animation studio, the overall quality of the animation and art style leaves much to be desired.
Additionally, the characters in the show are drawn inconsistently. The main characters are portrayed with attention to detail, but the background characters and NPCs appear strange and out of place. This discrepancy in the quality of the artwork detracted from my enjoyment of the show.
The main female character is adorable, but not compelling enough to carry the entire series. While there are some spicy scenes, they are only present in dream sequences, which feel out of place and do not contribute much to the overall story.
It is worth noting that I have heard the light novel version of the anime is much better. While I cannot confirm this myself, it suggests that the show's lack of success is due to issues with the anime adaptation rather than the source material.
So overall, I would not recommend this anime as it is progresses really slow and has a pretty boring storyline.
