~~From the looks of it. Oh boy I'm gonna get rekt for writing this...~~
But well... this last 4 episodes aren't strictly a must watch...
Then here comes my personal rant rather than a review.
_____________
Imagine how a non-descript, regular romantic anime with a regular twist would end. This ending would be it.
I absoloutely adore the Kaguya-sama series, even having not read the manga yet. The past 3 season were nothing short of, but not limited to, comedy gold, roller coaster ride of a feelings. Especially the 3rd season, and I would easily, and had given it no less than 90+ score. Then what's going on?
By Nature, you (Well, I...) already knew how it would end...
It's not of any surprise that our main protagonist would be together. Not by one bit. So it now depended on how we'll get there.
This is where the last 4 eps felt a bit... forced... I dunno...
It's like they try to put in a twist where it shouldn't be. I'm fine with a twist, my emotional rollercoaster heavily depended on it.
It's hard to put those into words, let alone sentences. But there's a bit of feeling that lingered when I watch the last 4 episodes. But it's mainly...
Arrogance, Stupidity, Persistence, impatient, Presumptuous, Egoistic, Annoying; and quite a bit more that I couldn't thought of.
Those words would be absolutely fine if it were to be diffused from Kaguya.
But if that was the case I wouldn't be writing this, would I?
But no, it's from Shirogane, and it doesn't even felt like it diffused out of him, he reeks of it like the author forced it in there. In this bit... Seriously? So they decide to "twist" it there, huh? And why even mentioning studying abroad if they're not twisting it there?! They just put it in and left it's use to the minimum. There're heap of things left on the table that could have been twisted and combined to make it more interesting. But no.
What is this, a shitty ending version of a Princess Kaguya fable? Come'on!
I'm quite stumped when I found myself interested side character's love story than the main couple, and finding myself skipping parts of an anime that, for the last 3 season, I never go near the fast foward button. Something is damn wrong...
With that aside...
Overall It had done decently enough. I guess.
The visuals are good. overall element are good. The gags are top notch, as always.
What's more interesting than our main couple here though...
They capture the people's spirit of Christmas and various end-of-year holidays pretty darn good. Since every character actions revolves around it. It's very lively for an ending. With supporting characters heading their own seperate ways and having their own seperate thoughts. Kinda getting more mature, in a way. Or at least it seems so.

So overall, the last 4 eps are not a must watch or anything. It's nice to know that they have it. But I rekon you could just go straight to read the manga after finishing Season 3 and then come back to watch this and it would be fine.
