Technically spoilers for the show, but it's not a really a show where spoilers matter much (but warning you anyways)
Bocchi the Rock was quite something - Not only an extraordinarily creative and bold adaptation that succeeds very well at what it wants to do, but it's also at its core a story that is relatable to a lot of people, including myself, as it deals with social anxiety very thoroughly. And even if at some point the jokes became too repetitive and overblown for my taste, I still think the show nonetheless has a strong emotional anchor with that which also made pay-offs like Bocchi realizing people support her, just the more satisfying.
And the show also holds to true its very own name; Bocchi just rocks. Episode 8 is my personal stand-out, I've been loving not only the music but also how the direction elevates the scene by emphasizing Bocchi's presence, and the incredible usage of blur... (if I would go into depth about all the good things regarding Bocchi's production, I would be sitting here for a year...)
But to give at least the minimum amount of credit to the creative team behind this show, Keiichirou Saitou is an extraordinary storyboarder and director, and his work is the reason why everything I've named above was so effective because it was executed so well. How Bocchi's loneliness and social awkwardness are emphasized through the spacious layouts (where only Bocchi is to be seen) and the contrast between what Bocchi considers "normal" and how her life actually is was a highlight in the first episode and hits home in a way because the tone the show goes for is just oddly relatable.

And while I had my criticism for the comedy, I think it's well-timed and even in later episodes there still are some jokes which were able to land. It's also admirable how creative they get with the presentation, and while it doesn't always hit for me, they at least tried the most inventive way to make it hit. The fact that this show is also filled with sakuga to the brim is a cherry on top, making a show solid as it is even more fun to watch.
▶ VideoThe show really goes the extra mile for both comedy and more hard-hitting themes, while balancing them well with each other: The true recipe as to why it managed to succeed on many levels and also is just overall very well crafted.

In any case, to sum up: I think Bocchi the Rock is damn good. It's undeniable how good this show is in many areas.
And I have to say at least once that I love Kita. I can't put my finger on it why but I love her.
