The idea of being isekaid into a video game is nothing new, it's not a fresh premise and it's been done with varying levels of success since the genre began. If you're looking for a show that does it well, look elsewhere because all you'll find here is a waste of your time.
[Story: 4/20]
The story takes place in a video game; the details of which are neither important to know nor are they particularly interesting. Our main character Mira (Danblf) is a former player of this game; one who played as an old wizard and specialized in summoning magic - at the time the game transported him into it for real, he just so happened to have used an item to make himself into a little girl, now that he's arrived in this new world, he finds himself stuck in the body of this little girl, who he names Mira. I'd go further, but that's about all the set up you need.
The actual substance of the story essentially boils down to: Mira is strong, she (somewhat) solves all of the problems thrown at her and there are a million and one threads to the story, none of which actually go anywhere: Chimera Clausen, Soul howl, Meilin & so on. There are nice moments here and there; the fairy maid (Mariana) has the best ones in the whole story, but that's not really saying much when the competition is just such a load of nothing worth remembering,
[production value: 3/20]
The overall production value of this anime was laughable; bordering on unwatchable; the CGI they used, from the demon fight to the unicorn that Mira rides sometimes was up there with some of the worst animation ever to be viewed on my screen.
The art style was underwhelming, below average for sure and that most overused of words: "generic" wouldn't be out of place when adding to the long list of descriptors you could use to convey that it's absolutely nothing special; that said, let's not be too negative - the art style itself may have been bad, but it wasn't offensively so, unlike the CGI.
Music... yes, the music... when I sat down to write this review, I honestly couldn't recall a thing about it; I've since taken a short while to listen over it and it's fine. Imagine a standard fantasy anime soundtrack, take out all of the above average parts and the soundtrack for this anime is more or less what you're left with.
[Characters: 4/20]
Not much to say here, but I'll say it anyway: literally none of the characters in this show are particularly well written, there's some who are okay (Like the aforementioned Mariana), the majority which fall into that oh-so boring of descriptions: generic; and finally, you're left with the rest, which are really bad; the elf girl Fricka is the one who sticks out to me as particularly egregious - every time I try to recall anything from this story; the voice of Fricka is all that comes to mind; that's not a good thing when I can't think of a single enjoyable moment in which she's involved.
You may wonder why I named so few characters here; I've looked up the names: Solomon, Luminaria, Tact, etc, so why not include them here? I had to look them up. When you watch a show and, less than a week later, you can't recall the majority of the characters, they must have very little impact on the overall story & indeed, that's the case here - you could argue that Solomon has a fairly major role, but he can be summed up as the guy who sends Mira off to do stuff.
[enjoyment: 3/10]
There's a review on here by @Mcsuper, who I feel has a very similar opinion of this mess of a show as I do; his summary "the importance of first impressions" and how he elaborates on it later convey the same sentiment I hold: it started weak and never really improved; when you're checked out of a story from the moment it begins, there's not much enjoyment to actually be had.
[success: 11/30]
I wasn't really sure how to feel about the success of this show, it's hard to really pin down what it was trying to be, what it wanted to do and what exactly the point was. It seems to want to have been comedic at times, but the humor was so indescribably bad that I can't imagine anybody over the age of 5 who would find it funny (it was mostly related to pee), The story, characters, etc were all lacking in major ways as outlined above, so it seems that whatever this show was aiming for (seemingly to be one of the isekai of all time), it can't have been particularly successful as it fell flat at every opportunity.
It doesn't seem to have been aimed at greatness or anything, so I won't say it was offensively bad in every regard, but it has failed to be anything more than background noise; background noise that I'd rather have forgone at that.
[Overall: 2.5/10]
To summarize what I think about this show: it's bad, but not offensively so. Aside from a few elements, such as the awful CGI and pathetic attempts at humor, the majority of the show is less full of bad qualities and more totally lacking for any good ones.
it's not an enjoyable watch and you should do yourself the favor of skipping this one; even among other generic isekai, this one isn't worth your time.
