[Spoilers] Not quite through it completely yet, but the best way I can describe this anime with: "Overhyped". It's disappointingly shallow, can't put my finger on it, but it feels diluted somehow, as some sort of half-baked idea that doesn't satiate. Planning to watch it completely and give it a fair shake, but so far what I have seen is a common factor of "disappointingly unenjoyable". The introduction theme is probably about the only thing I enjoy about this anime, which is not saying much at all, but if I wanted to watch for a good theme, I would not be here. In fact, the show strikes me as so bad, I feel compelled to write a review at all to begin with.

A pink-haired typical school teen blockhead protagonist, being somehow thrust into the centerfold of a previously unknown parallel demon/cursed world, despite he and all his "friends" being into typical occult/demonic lore that any edgy teen tries out before realize how dopey they look. The pink-haired moron is supposed to be the draw of the show, with his "undying loyalty" to his "friends", and common Japanese folk, despite the lack of devotion to earning power, everything simply just falls into his lap to progress the plot. Unfortunately, he appears, at times to be some sort of secondary character for all of the pretty guys (who should be dancing on a stage and singing instead of hunting curses) and empowered female "go-getters" that you're supposed to constantly be afraid of, yet unsurprisingly, are not. The main struggle is supposed to be between himself and a super-demon that enters the pink-haired youth's body by way of consuming the demon's fingers. Previously undiscovered by sorcerers and curse-fighters for what seems like centuries (can't recall, difficult to pay attention to). Miraculously, all 20 of the demon's fingers are discovered in what seems like the span of a week, all conveniently during this kid's high-school years. He basically forgets the entirety of his original friends to what he thinks is "helping society at large". A sequence of unremarkable fight scenes separate every other episode, without any actual sort of martial arts training, mastering the art of exorcising curses and jujutsu. The cocky teachers teach them about channeling energy, but never show them any real martial arts. All this despite the school having a tiny handful of what seems like 6 total students. Attend the school for one year, and everyone now calls you senpai. I've had people in my ear for a while now saying how they love this anime, but I just don't get it, and really have not been enjoying it. Overall, the show is just convoluted and seems like a shower thought more than any real plot. Not the worst anime ever, but JJK is almost certainly not going to be worth any sort of re-watch for myself. I think this anime is aiming to check more boxes than it is trying to present anything outside of good animation quality. Would avoid.
