Demon Slayer
WARNING uncertain event and demon spoilers!
A Great Anime for beginners, those who like good animation , action and a warm bonding experience.
Soundtrack
First and foremost the soundtrack is surprisingly very good and im still angry that its so gatekept with only a few clips on Youtube existing around.
I wish they would release it onto other streaming services like Spotify for example and make it more accessable! Especially with Demon slayer's popularity being one of the larger kind from what i've heard.
Story
The story is decent at most but still feels very impactful when those tense moments happen!
As you watch the anime more and more you really get the anticipation that a great adventure is on its way, you really get immersed with the experience right away from the start, the thing i found a bit annoying is that the story revolves a bit too much on Tanjiro and less on Nezuko despite that the story revolves around both their losses in a way.
- you can truly feel that there is a strong bond between Tanjiro and Nezuko.
- they could've probably have made Nezuko do a bit more primary action and less of those comeback moments. it feels like she's always a lifeline for Tanjiro and less of a teammate so far.
The best thing on my part is the animation, when they do the fighting stances and the "element" shows flowing through the blade.
- It shows a different type of energy and truly brings other feelings to the fights other than just fast ninja fighting as we see in naruto for example.
- Every move feels like it has its own purpose, its very smart of them to use numbers on the fighting styles so its easier to memorize them for "situations".
- They also put in a lot of work into tactical breathing styles which i like a lot and it shows that there are more principles into fighting than just swinging a blade.
Some Pointers
- I truly feel like the demons are one of the shining aspects of the anime and they truly brought them to life with their cool designs, every demon i've seen so far looks very good and stays true/unique to their aesthetic every time!- Some problems i've had with the anime is that some fights are maybe a bit too long, but im up for it as long as it is a cool demon or for a great purpose.
- Im not really a big fan of the retelling of what happened at the start of each episode. I found that it made the series harder to watch and being able to maintain the momentum of some parts.
- The worse episode for me was with the Drum Demon where they were stuck in a haunted house, that episode felt like it took forever for me. It felt like a truly ability-fested episode, If they would just tune down the drumming parts a bit more
it was not really worth the time, but even those episodes overall had some really good moments alone.
- The best episode for me was truly the Mount Natagumo arc, the spider family is a piece of art and the climax during the end is one of the best moments so far. Even the soundtrack alone did it for me.
I recommend trying to watch Demon Slayer at least once, especially if you're new to anime or just want some really action heavy fighting scenes with great aesthetic and deeper elements into it.
Other than that i have nothing more to say!
