Entertainment District Arc Review
Yesterday i completed the Demon Slayer entertainment district arc and decided to write another review!
Warning
This review will just cover the plot and nothing else, it will include spoilers from the past demon slayer arcs but no spoiler of this one, if so i will make a spoiler tag!
Plot
We follow Tanjiro and his demon slayer friends after the Mugen train arc, they volunteer to a mission with the Hashira Tengen Uzui to the beautiful but mysterious entertainment district, knowing there's a large demon foe lurking ahead, waiting.
Thoughts
I personally thought the arc was okay but not as good as the first season nor the Mugen train arc. The whole season just felt really rushed and non considerate.
I think it would've been better if it had more episodes and more mystery to it.
The entertainment district really looks like it could fit the "murder mystery" vibe.
I'm not a director but I'm easily convinced that you can fit more than what you actually see in the anime.
Nezuko acts as a lifeline as usual and doesn't have anything else to do.

You could argue that she evolves and develops in a physical way but we do not see any personal development after her return to her old demon self except that she heals people. She legit went off the rails and we see nothing from either her or Tanjiro exept that she sleeps afterwards! There's barely any development and the series just feels like it's stuck in the Mugen train arc all over again when it's over, like a loop.

We do not even see what happens to one of the primary side characters after the arc. referring to Koinatsu who was seen getting captured and then released with no conclusion, disappearing into thin air. I was really invested into this character and would've loved to see her for the last time! The shining parts of the season were the fighting and meeting the new characters. there were some really good team ups during the fights and Zenitsu truly shines with his iconic and only thunderclap flash. The animations were smooth and epic.

The underground "prison" was also very cool
The Demons
I personally thought that the demons were the best aspect of the season and had more development than any other main character during the whole arc.

(despite being killed)As in the seasons before, they truly make flawless design to their world's aesthetic.
Conclusion
There was barely any mystery behind the season and that's the reason why I think it failed to captivate me and maybe others too.
If i were to change something i’d make it maybe 3 or 2 episodes longer with a more developed story and less fighting, where we maybe get a bigger mystery around what's happening around the dying entertainment district.
I really dislike how they treated the entertainment district because it looks so good. they could’ve done so much more to it than just a 5 part sleepshow and a 6 part fightshow.
Thats it for me!
