Diama is better than I, or anybody would have expected. Seriously.

Spoilers from here on out:

When I started watching Diama, I had a very negative attitude. I was like "I'm gonna give this show a 1 out of 10, 3 out of 10 at most!". And at first, I was right. The first episode was a good way to start a series, it went over the last event, or saga that happened. The Buu Saga. And the recreation of some of the scenes in the buu saga looked so good. But that leads me to my first problem. The fact that this "takes place before Super, but after Buu". There is no way for Daima to be canon without it messing a lot of stuff up. The kais are no longer fused, even though they are fused in BoG, and they never refuse like people thought. Super saiyan 4, as cool as it is, Goku can transform into at anytime. Which makes no sense, if it takes place before Super. So I will never consider Daima canon. It just makes no sense. Anyway back to the series.

Stupid Goku makes an appearance yet again! Some of the scenes he is in, he just so fucking stupid. I know he's been turned into a kid, but he doesn't have to always act like it. One scene, the supreme kai is like "Hey, don't insult the fish, he won't let us through if you do" and what does Goku, in all his adult wisdom do? Insult the fish again. He wants to save Dende but he does stuff like that? Later, they tell Goku that "Hey, if you touch that barrier, you're going to die" And he touches it anyway! But. Stupid Goku is not nearly as bad as Super, and it doesn't happen nearly as much which, thank god. I would have dropped Diama so quickly if Goku was THAT stupid THAT often. But I can see how that stupid moment in episode 3 could turn people off from the show, thinking it's another super.

Oh and the characters. God, the characters are actually super good. Every new character that is introduced in this series, is fun, and such a cool addition to DB. Glorio is one of my favorite characters in all of DB, and he goes through a very well execute character arc. He starts off as this mysterious character, and we find out he's betraying the group. But just when you think he's going to actually fully betray them.. he turns it around. Turning Goku and the rest of his friends into Adults, and it's such a good moment, with good build-up! Not to mention that his powers, are unique, in both looks and ability, and are just plain cool. The animation really helps with that.

Speaking of, the animation is the best in all of DB, including the Broly Movie. The fight scenes are some of the best, just search up some of these fight scenes, and you won't be disappointed. Every super saiyan transformation feels like a big deal, and that final kamehameha to end the series, is one of the best animated kamehamehas in all of DB. Period. Props to the animaters, they did a really good job.

Then there's super saiyan 4. And I some problems with the form. I love super saiyan 4, but I do have problems. For one, did they have to make the fur the same color as his hair? It doesn't make it look that stunning. And two, why is the fur on his arm pulled up? It makes his hands look super fucking large. Like it doesn't belong.

And people are gonna say "But Gogeta had red hair!" but the difference is, Gogeta's fur was such a dark red, that it almost looked brown at times. Which made his red hair stand out more. I think they should have done something similar. And the explantion for hte form doesn't make sense, cause what did Neva do? Cause it was my thought process that he gave Goku some weird energy, and that caused the transformation. But no, it was just.. training, and he could aways do it. For some reason.

Overall, while I did complain, I can't lie, this series is really good. It had so much enjoyment watching it, but it has some flaws, a lot of which are very glaring, which is why I can't give it any higher than a 7 out of 10 (Or a 70 out of 100).

But, I will admit, this series was better than GT, which is hard for me to admit, since GT is my childhood. But, if you want a good time, with good animation, good fight scenes, and great character, check this out. Just give it a chance, unlike me when I started watching it.
