? Midoriya The Crybaby: MidoCrya
SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU WHINY BRAT
Izuku Midoriya cries so much I am pretty sure we could put out all the wild fires in the world with his tears. The one time it made sense was in Episode 1—where years of rejection and hopelessness were broken by a single, powerful "You can be a hero." That hit which made him, me, you and everyone cry and then the rest of the anime happened. He cries when he falls, when he talks to girls, when someone praises him, when he remembers a flashback, when he breathes too hard or sometimes for no FUCKING REASON. At some point I stopped thinking of him as the underdog and started to agree with Bakugo. Which bring me on the next point.
___
? Bakugo
THE REAL VILLAIN OF THIS ANIMEIf there’s a villain in this story, it’s not Shigaraki. It’s Bakugo. The guy needs therapy, a restraining order, anger management and a good tight slap to the face my his parents—not a hero license.
I wrote down my thoughts while watching this anime and one of them was
"Bakugo can go die in a ditch and i wont give a shit, hope he dies a worthless and cruel death and no one comes to his funeral"
I may not like him.
He tried to kill Midoriya multiple times in a school setting, and the teachers just shrugged it off like, “Boys will be boys, Teehee.”
I am starting to get a feeling that UA High is not a good school for children, WHICH bring me to the next point.
? U.A. High
A SCHOOL FOR PSYCHOPATHS?So you're telling me they send children into life-threatening situations… and when villains invade a training facility, the security is so trash that literal murder is a possibility? I have a theory that the principal is the real villain.
And the Nurse CAN KILL PEOPLE BY HEALING THEM! WHAT!?
Now Teachers-
- Midnight - Walking-talking HR violation. Does that mask like not cause discomfort?
- All Might - Why? Just Why? Symbol of Peace my ASS, The guy gave his powers to an emotional and Dumb teenager. You know the power that can CHANGE THE FUCKING WORLD and never told him about the drawbacks or something?
- Aizawa - My king, The only teacher who gave a fuck. he actually stopped Midoriya from killing himself everytime he uses his quirk (I know he thinks a broken finger is acceptable but thats besides the point) and he also calls out Bakugo. PERFECT TEACHER
No proper emotional support.
Kids almost die in training.
Villains break in mid-lesson like it's a field trip.
And the staff just shrugs and says, “This builds character.”
If these are Japan's finest, I can see why Japan is having a young people issue.
⚙️ Iida, Uraraka, and the Rest
3 CLASSMATES ARE INTERESTING, EVERYONE ELSE IS UNDERUTILISED
Iida grew on me. At first he was a teacher’s pet with a stick up his ass. But by Episode 9? The guy was serious, responsible, and goofy in just the right way.
Uraraka’s got potential—and is actually dangerous when she fights—but I wish the show would stop sexualizing kids and give her a real arc.
Mineta doesn’t deserve words. Moving on.
___
? The Good Stuff
MAMA DIDN'T RAISE NO HATER
Okay, okay. The animation? Fire. Fight choreography? Occasionally incredible (Episode 12’s climax is sick).
The art style is distinct, and the way they frame certain shots during action scenes—chef’s kiss. The potential is there. That’s what hurts.
___
? Final Thoughts
5.5/10
They saw people liked Episode 1’s emotion, and decided to build the entire show around the crying—not the payoff.
