Girls last tour for me, is something genuinely special. It was my first manga, and for a series that took just of couple hours to finish, it has positively effected my entire life. I vividly remember my grades dropping for about a week after reading this manga because I couldn't stop thinking about it, being deep into the pandemic, such an interesting and surprisingly emotionally relevant story immediately left an everlasting effect on me.
Girls last tour was obviously written for a slightly more niche group of people, but if your tastes align with mine and the many others who cherish this manga, it just might deserve your 10/10 review as well.
While I read Girls last tour in one sitting, id reccomend taking it a bit slow. Please don't skim through this series, if you read it carelessly and don't take the time to stop and think about what you're reading, you wont enjoy it nearly as much as you could. For the record, I very rarely ever rewatch or reread anything, no matter how much I enjoy it. However, I've already reread this manga once, and I am constantly looking forward to when I get around to reading it once more.
Girls last tour, in my opinion, is best described as a melancholic, slice of life and adventure manga set in a post apocalyptic science fiction world riddled with brutalist architecture and a shocking lack of other people. The stylization and art is great, and when Tsukumizu shows you a full 2 page spread, you might feel the need to stare for a couple minutes.
Girls last tour is not a sad manga, but you may cry as I and many others have while reading it. Girls last tour is a manga filled with positive messages throughout an entirely desloate world. (In a good way) I suppose the best emotion you could use to describe Girls last tour is bittersweet. Despite what might seem like a frankly terrible situation to us, our main characters Chito and Yuuri continue on finding joy in the little things as they go. This world is all they know, and while you might feel bad for them because theyre forced to scavenge for their food and survive off the scraps of a civilization long past, they're pretty stoked about the fish they just caught.
Do not look up anything about this manga, especially on any social media, you will be immediately spoiled by carefree fans who can be quite insufferable. In fact, I'd honestly reccomend against interacting with the fandom, as there's quite an imbalance in the ratio of obnoxious, weird, and inconsiderate fans, against fans who are just actually normal people.
If this has somehow even remotely convinced you to give Girls last tour a try, I wish you the best reading experience possible.
