So Kill La Kill is a good show. I liked it. I loved how insane it was. The comedic was fantastic. The animation was really nice. I liked the story for what it was. It wasn't that deep, but it didn't need to be. I had a generally great time while watching this show.

For one of my first exposures to a Shonen anime (disguised as a Lesbian romance) this was a really good introduction in my mind. Although I will confess my experience with anime and manga are very limited, and Shonen anime and manga even more so.

I do have a few problems. Those problems I feel are things that were a bit unnecessary that if removed wouldn't do much to alter the story in a negative way. And would be to the show's benefit for their absence. In order other words some stuff makes me uncomfortable.

My second issue is how they treat Mako and Ryuko. If you don't know they are both 17 years old. And I don't wanna hear any "culture warriors" say "erm ackshally that's the legal age in CloudCooCooLand which I am not a resident of, but use to justify my loli fetish!" I don't have to like it when minors are sexualized. And I feel like a small inconsequentially change can be applied to the show's benefit (even if the show is over) make the two 18 years old. We already have Satsuki being 18 why not Ryuko and Mako? I doubt it would be seriously change the story drastically and maybe you can maybe make some jokes at Mako and Ryuko's expense about them being held back like by having them be 20 or some shit.
I dunno my feelings on this show are a bit mixed. On the one hand I appreciate the show for the animation, artstyle and the comedy. On the other hand though there's aspects surrounding the whole thing that makes me ask "is this necessary? Would or would not the plot be the same if this were removed? For things that make me (and many other people) uncomfortable that answer would be yes, 100%. And I hold that belief with this show.
I didn't expect it to be amazing, just good and... it is good... Hell there are even aspects were it was really good, even amazing. Like the music is really good. But some of aforementioned issues I and many others have drag this show down.
8.1/10, 9.1/10 (With my changes)
