Story ════ ⋆★⋆ ════The story in the second season didn't have a lot of growth in terms of scaling. The main formula still remains exactly like season 1: Problem arises -> Familiars kill problem -> Everyone eats the problem. Is it bad? Not necessarily. While it's the same as before, it's Iyashikei; this is supposed to be a chill anime that you watch after a long day, just to de-stress and get hungry.
In terms of story and my personal expectations, I feel like the anime would've been better if they had a big challenge. Not to try to mimic a "fight anime", but just to add some reward and tension rather than "Fel killed with 2 hits." It would be cool if they fought something really difficult and that they could really rejoice with the food, similar to what Dungeon Meshi did sometimes. I feel like the extreme power play became a negative in this anime.

Art ════ ⋆★⋆ ════ The art is good. One point that I totally forgot to mention in season one, but is clear as day here, is that most of the animation regards hands, pot stirring, etc. They've used some good mix of CGI and actual drawing and it makes it very fluid. Food still looks delicious and still made me hungry at several points. Overall, I don't have any complaints about the art style of the anime, especially considering that is an Iyashikei-like anime.

Characters ════ ⋆★⋆ ════ There are still a small number of characters in this season, with one or two major additions. That's pretty much it. Still, deep character relationship isn't the focus of this anime, so it doesn't make it a problem.
As I always like to talk about the main character, Mukouda remained a good main character. He is true to his style and just a build-up from the first season, just trying to survive all the crazy adventures that Fel come up for him.

Soundtrack ════ ⋆★⋆ ════ Sound-wise the anime is also good. Voice actors do their job pretty well regarding the OST, OP, and ED. I especially liked the ED since it had a more chill beat. Overall, I don't have complaints towards the sound section of the anime.

Conclusion ════ ⋆★⋆ ════ If you're like me, you skip everything and read only the conclusion because you don't want to get spoiled with other themes. So I will try to be brief on this point:Watch it. If you watched the first season and liked it, this is a natural build-up, it's literally more of the same. While I can't give a higher score than season 1, that happens because I don't feel like things progressed much in terms of story. So if you choose to watch, go for the vibes rather than expecting anything big in the story. Overall, it was a pretty relaxing anime and I'd watch another season if MAPPA decides it's worthwhile.19 out of 22 users liked this review
