- And with this, every show that I wanted to complete from Spring 2018 has been completed, and you know what, I’m glad I saved this show till the end, because this show is definitely one of the most unique out of everything from this season, but anyways let’s start from the beginning of my expectations when diving into the show.

Personally, I only really decided to watch this show because it was made by Studio Bones, which has a rich history of good and bad shows, which was why I was interested in picking this up to begin with, and you know I think because of this preconception is why I didn’t enjoy the show as much as I was hoping to. I went into this show expecting something great, when really all that you get is a decent show. Don’t get me wrong, there’s not really anything particularly bad about this show, but the whole time while watching it I was just thinking every episode that there was going to be something more to it, something deeper than what was just on the surface, and there just isn’t. And I get it, that’s not really the show fault, if anything it’s just because of my preconceptions based on all the amazing stuff that has come out of Studio Bones, which is what made me think this going into this show, but that’s the reality of this situation.

- Look obviously there is a lot of good things in this show like the animation style was a very unique choice that I liked, the music definitely fit what the show is going for, and I genuinely liked some of the story elements. However, a lot of my issues with this series are linked not just with the fact that it’s not as deep as I wanted it to be, but that I never really sympathize with any of the characters. Sure, again that’s a very personal thing (like they can’t make a show that is sympathetic to everyone who watches it, that would be insane), but really if I think about it 1.) I don't really understand anything about a lot of the side characters, whether that be their backstory, or their motivations, or even why they act the way they do (which irritates me a lot) and 2.) the characters who they do focus on like the MC I still don’t really understand her goals, since they flippantly change on a whim, which makes it hard for me to even keep track of them. Idk guys, I feel like I’m being really cruel right now, when this show probably wasn’t going for 10 out of 10 and it was probably just trying to be a happy fun show that people could watch in their spare time and I get that, it’s just you know I really wish they would have actually aimed for 10/10.

I guess if I had to boil down my main problem with the show, is that it doesn’t feel like they were really going for it, every character’s motivations are explained just up to the point right before you actually understand them, but they still give you enough for you to want to know more, but they just don’t give you that extra bit of backstory. I assume this has to have been an intentional artistic decision, since it happened with many of the characters, and it is things like this that bothered me so much, especially when it is done with multiple characters that were integral to the story.

- Again Idk, I feel like I’m just ranting at this point, and it may sound like I’m being really negative (because I am) but there was a lot of stuff I liked in the show, it just frustrates me that this show had so much potential and doesn’t use it, but I guess if that’s what you're going for, I can’t really change that. So finally I’m going to give this show a 75/100, because again, if you just are going to aim to be average then I’m going to give you a just average score, sure there wasn’t anything particularly bad about the show that would pull the score farther down, but there wasn’t anything particularly great to pull it up either, so that is why feel like giving the show this score. So anyways what do you guys think, do you think the show was better or worse lmk, and I am totally open to discussing this further if someone would like to try and sway me to give it a higher score😉 P.S. the ED was great though😄
