(Pros first cons in second half. this review is also written with spoilers and comments for people who have or havent read the story to either agree with or disagree or in the other case gain interest in reading it)Domestic na Kanojo a taboo/incest(not really) but like
/anime/4224/toradora /anime/21701/scums-wish /anime/21092/chivalry-of-a-failed-knight /anime/12467/mysterious-girlfriend-x it went about breaking the norm in terms of how it wanted to present love. it pulls you in with the taboo aspects and hooks you with the writing. when i first read this i was happy to see it have the two main love interest already figured out and quite literally thrown in your face. first chapter starts of with our lead getting laid and then flash backing us to how it all ended up that way. going from there it starts putting the world building aspect into play with whom and what his life is about and involves. your typical high school student with one parent trying to get by in life and find them selves. a brief mention of the father and his current love interest and both the teacher and stranger whom he had sex with just so happen to be sisters and now his new sisters. this on paper sounds in some minds like a doujin in others like a soup opera and to some it is indeed a longer version of Nadeshiko Changes which is a doujin of the same essential premise. Everything about this manga from its world building to its character driven arcs to the way the characters don't make choices out of spite or hate or lust for the sake of dram, but when the drama actually hits it hits hard for the reader and the three leads. Every side character is with a name gets development that gives them a real reason to actually be in the story around the main characters rather than just friends or as bakugo would say "extras" they have lives ambitions problems with the three at times. I can say that there is only two people in this manga i dislike. these two characters tho they are what most would call scum or the worst of the worst myself included, still like myne and her father the king from shield hero are written to be that way and have actual reasons for doing what it is they did. which made the arcs that they are in still well written. all in all i have mostly good to say about this manga. Rui is someone who is cold and stubborn at times can be heartless she has a love for cooking and for her sister. i have a love for kuudere type characters for many reasons but rui tops most of them for me. when she starts out her changes are small but logical not rushed and have legitimate reasons for happening and helping her grow as a person. i say this because with romance manga that aspect is sometimes forced and you can see it more often than not. This however is not the case in this manga. Often times the leads feel hopeless and are stuck in a rut because everything that they had been working towards fell apart and they are in a predicament of not mentally or physically being able to do anything about it time passes and things change they get out of that situation not by some object or person that came out of no where that no one knew before and magically has they fix all button, but by with well thought out plans/hopes/dreams/promises/intentions and hard work of said leads. this is what makes these and many other great characters in anime/manga loved and rui natsuo and hina have that too. Hina is at first shown to be a woman that on the outside has everything going for her and is one could say the model daughter has a well paying job is dating someone healthy has good relationship with family and friends. All true she is however hiding secrets doesn't know when to ask for help and handles things somewhat poorly at the start of her journey. by the end hina finally like the other two finds peace in life and with each other content with how this long painful story had unfolded for her and her family which whom she loves very deeply for. The bottom line is that it is a very well written romance manga but i feel the ending was rushed. Read the rest if you dont care for spoilers/ have read the story. Spoilers from here on out:
