There comes a time in every young man's life, where he must ask himself a very important question:
First, Lawrence and his world serve as the perfect vehicle for Holo to charm you. The setting of "sleepy little wheat village" acts as a great base for the world. It's Pallet Town, where we all start off, ready for our adventure to begin, but not interesting enough for us to want to stay. Staying with the Pokemon analogy, Lawrence functions somewhat well as the "Red" character. He doesn't have enough of a personality to draw us in, and allows us to explore the world through his eyes. This setup allows for a charming, sexy, mysterious character like Holo to thrive, as she plays off of Lawrence well, and continues to build up some sexual tension between the two (also Lawrence and Chloe are in the same boat?#isthisaharemanime?).
When you first discover her under the stars, naked in the cart, both Lawrence and yourself can only think "what the fuck Richard?" I mean it's a beautiful naked woman with ears and a tail that just appeared in the cart. And this curiosity continues throughout the episode, as she shows her "true form" off-camera, and continues to disappear and reappear.
Alright, so back to the fact that Holo is just naked for the majority of the episode (also she just doesn't have nipples?). I mean this is meant to help establish the character as sexy, but it's really not helping my argument for "not a furry" if I keep going back to it. And either fortunately or unfortunately for us/Lawrence, Holo knows she's sexy. She taunts you with slight little coy movements of her tail, aloof and cute twitches of her ears, wry smiles. All to drag us and Lawrence to simp for her. Spoiler alert: it works.
If you made it through to this point, first of all: thank you. I'm sure you're wondering "why did he spend all of this time writing this when he could have just been watching the anime?", and to that, I guess I say I'm just savoring the moment. But to answer the question "Am I a furry?"...
