With all these negative reviews, I decided to write my own positive anti-review and keep it simple. I don't really review stuff usually so bear up my chaotic approach to it, and I kept it spoiler-free.
Kamisama ni Natta Hi is an original anime that can be classified in a genre I call it "key/Maeda drama" which had it's unique flavors in the past and worked miracles in angel beats and clannad but people got bored of it and anyone can identify the anime as a key/Maeda drama just from the first glance to the setting, characters, and art style. This made it harder for the newer works to be widely accepted as the older ones which is in some way understandable but for me personally I think it keeps getting me every time with the emotions even when I know it's coming, so a review comparing it to the older works is unfair in my opinion and I'm sure someone with no knowledge of the previous works would enjoy this show as much as I enjoyed angel beats in the old days. (if they actually like this type of anime)
So my recommendation is, if you enjoyed previous works and think you can enjoy almost the same work but a lesser version of it then go for it and it will keep you entertained throughout the vicious seasonal cycle, and if you never knew about this genre or about key or about Maeda then this can work as your entrance show to it which you would enjoy and then it would be nicely followed by angel beats, clannad, little busters and charlotte. But if you got bored of the idea and think further digging of the same dead mine is not getting anywhere, then it would be safe to say you really don't need to even bother watching this show or even reviewing it as you won't feel the same emotions you once had for older works which is totally fine cuz even for me I don't think anything will top up the feeling I had watching angel beats and this was only a mini version of it that I still enjoyed despite that fact.
Now for reviewing the show itself. The story pacing was rushed a bit, and I think the involvement of Youta's parents was a nice little touch which you don't usually find in other shows. For characters, some of them felt like fillers to fill the gap there with no real meaning to them but most of them are likable and there are some chemistry between them. Visuals are what to be expected from PA works, crisp and clean. Plot is as I elaborated in the above paragraphs. The ending is unique in the way how they presented it,
In the end my score depends on my enjoyment which is subjective and I would give any anime that follows the same formula with decent elements the same score even if it was the 100th similar anime I would watch, thanks for reading.
