Sérgio Calvinho

Sérgio David Cordeiro Calvinho is a Portuguese actor, folder, announcer and dubbing director born on June 27, 1979.

Born in Lisbon, Sérgio wanted to be an actor from an early age. He graduated in Theater at ESTC and, for 6 years, worked in theater, and dubbing started in parallel, almost at the same time.

Over the years, he had more and more work as a folder until he decided to dedicate himself exclusively to dubbing. He also started doing voiceover for documentaries, advertising and since 2008 he is the voice of the Syfy channel.

The dubbing direction work was gradually emerging. Today is what takes up the most time. He does dubbing direction for Playstation, RTP and, more recently, Netflix. For some it will be the eternal voice of Postman Paulo or the voice of Nathan Drake, from the Uncharted saga. Most recently he gave the voice to Timon, from the Lion King (2019) and Archibald from The World of Archibald.

While giving voice to the many characters that have emerged over the years, it is increasingly taking place to direct an entire dubbing project or to be part of the dubbing direction team, as is more common in great Playstation titles like Days Gone, Death Stranding and The Last of Us: Part 2.
