Received his Ph.D. from the Behavioral Ecology and Evolution Lab, Seoul National University, and works for the Polar Research Institute.
A researcher who asks questions and seeks answers about 'why' and 'how' by observing the behavior of animals in the wild.
After completing his doctoral course on the subject of magpie rearing at Seoul National University's Behavioral Ecology and Evolution Laboratory, he now travels back and forth between Antarctica and the North Pole's Polar Research Institute to study wildlife, including penguins.
In his spare time, he likes taking pictures of animal behavior, making drawings, and sharing scientific discoveries with others.
He has written several books, including "Penguin's Summer", and hosts his own podcasts, "Lee Won-Yeong's Birds, Animals, and Ecology Stories" (4 seasons, complete), and "Lee Won-Yeong's Antarctican Diary".
