後藤友香
Goto Yuka draws from the wellspring of the heta-uma traditions and its conjuction of rude art and absurdist themes.
Her stories break the peace of everyday Japanese life, pitting neighbor against neighbor, arming the elderly, and organizing youth into vigilante leagues. In all of this, her work exhibits obvious influences from the lives of Janakuma Ysaku.
With 'The Mystery of the Manhole', Goto received Second Price in the AX New Author competition of 2001. In 2002, she was selected for the 125th The Choice.
She is also active as a painter, muralist, and animator, helding many solo exhibitions and creating PV animations for rock bands, goods for museum shops and numerous other projects.
In 2006, she worked on the album jacket and promotional video animation for 00Teresa, and in the following year produced the promotional video and animation for japanese rock band Podo.
In 2007, she produced and released a zine in New York in collaboration with artist Misaki Kawai.
In 2008 Yoruhira Pro published her "Railway Art Book"
In 2012, an exhibition of Yuka Goto was held by Musashino Art University Oil Painting Department.
In 2013 "Collection-san" was released by Seirin Kogeisha, a picture book co-authored with novelist Hideo Furukawa
