Hyakkaou Academy still runs on the gambling-economy hierarchy from season one — winning means status, losing means slavery, the student council holds the deck. The second season opens on the same campus but a new contest: president Kirari Momobami announces a thirty-day election in which every student starts with a single chip and the winner inherits the council. Yumeko Jabami enters because she enters every game put in front of her. The Momobami clan starts arriving — cousins, half-siblings, ringers from outside the school — and the season turns into a tournament arc with Yumeko's appetite for risk as the only constant.
