The God of High School

South Korean high schoolers from every prefecture are invited to the God of High School tournament with promises of any wish granted to the winner — and as long as Mori Jin is fighting, the cameras stay on his bracket. Mori is a small, polite, near-unbeatable Taekwondo specialist from Seoul who joins the tournament partly for the prize and partly because the friends he has gathered along the way need it more than he does. The series uses the tournament as scaffolding and quietly escalates the stakes underneath: the prize is real, the gods funding it have agendas, and someone is going to win.
