Issei Hyodo is the kind of high schooler who keeps a private inventory of his classmates' chest sizes. The first time a girl asks him on a date, his luck appears to have changed. It hasn't: she is a fallen angel, the date ends with a knife in his stomach, and he wakes up to find his upperclassman Rias Gremory standing over him explaining that she has resurrected him as a member of her devil house. From there the series alternates between the ongoing war between heaven, fallen angels, and devils, and Issei's slow climb up the rankings of his new clan.
