Fate/Zero 2nd Season
The first half of Fate/Zero spent its time setting the seven Master–Servant pairs against each other on the streets of Fuyuki; the second half is the Grail War actually playing out. A church-brokered truce against a common threat dissolves inside an episode as Masters realize the rest of them have not stopped fighting. Kiritsugu Emiya's pragmatism finally breaks his partnership with Saber, who is fighting a war of ideals he has no time for. Kirei Kotomine, drifting toward the only person in the war he can sense his own emptiness mirrored in, begins the spiral that the original Fate/stay night will pick up ten years later.
