The west's top spy is given a week to assemble a fake family — wife, child, school admission — so he can infiltrate a private academy and read the body language of a politician who keeps starting cold wars. He picks up an orphan named Anya for the role of daughter and marries a clerk named Yor for the role of wife, and the cover would be airtight if Anya weren't a telepath and Yor weren't a contract killer.
