OMGkawaiiAngel is the country's most-watched online streamer — ten million subscribers, an in-studio fanbase, a brand the rest of the streaming industry rearranges itself around. The three-girl unit Karamazov is chasing her in the rearview mirror. Kache is a part-time theme-café waitress with a deadbeat live-in boyfriend and no public profile of her own. The series interweaves all three storylines and slowly reveals what each of them is performing for, and what the algorithm asks of the girls it elevates. The framing device — a viewer on the other side of the screen — is part of the bargain.
