In the aftermath of the Fourth Impact, stranded without their Evangelions, Shinji, Asuka, and Rei find refuge in one of the rare pockets of humanity that still exist on the ruined planet Earth. Hideaki Anno's revival of Evangelion has ended on a familiar yet refreshing tone.

The whole movie was made to make Evangelion look like a massive play.
Rarely does a story end thrice. Rarer still does one pull it off this beautifully.
A film that beautifully rebuilds the remains of Evangelion, and leaves it to rest in peace.
