It was a good manga! I discovered when I was browsing online and the art caught my attention and I knew I had to get it. The art was beautiful, story was amazing, even though they did drag some parts along or left us hanging with what happens at some parts. You may think this manga is going to be wholesome and comedic, but it is far from that. Yes, there are wholesome, comedic, and heart-clenching parts, but it is far more than that. The manga is about a magician's apprentice and he goes by the name, Ouka Namae. He is not able to freely express his emotions and it has been like this ever since he was a child. Some referred to him as a robot or a doll. However, he is able to feel emotions but under certain circumstances (You will have to find out how when you read the manga c: ). Once he has met those certain circumstances, he can feel emotions for only like 5 minutes and then he will go back to his normal self.
Try not to get too attached to certain character for good reasons. I had mixed feelings about how the manga ended, but I still loved it regardless. It really grabbed my heart and squeezed it oml. Some characters being introduced are left behind and you will see why. But there is a lot of character development with the main protagonist. Ouka Namae is an amazing character hands down, but there were some parts I wish were explained more because I got confused whenever it looked like he expressed some emotions, but he did not apparently. Some chapters focus on other people as well and it might get confusing, but try to pay attention at these parts because they explain a lot of the story that will not be told in the rest of the manga. This is how the other main character will be introduced even though you may think they are just a side character. The relationship between the 2 main characters is amazing, funny, and wholesome...in some parts. The magician that is Ouka Namae's teacher, is not seen too much throughout the story, but there is a reason why he chose Ouka Namae as his apprentice.
