Black Clover is underrated. It got a lot of hate it didn't deserve. People often drop it early on because it's unoriginal and has all the clichés of shounen anime that you can think of. But the show executes the shounen tropes so well that it constantly gets better. This anime surely deserves all the praise and hype that it gets now.
#Story:

The story follows Asta and his childhood friend/ rival Yuno who live in a small village in the Clover Kingdom. In this world everyone has magic except our main protagonist Asta. However Yuno is very talented at using magic. They both dream of becoming the Wizard King not to be in a high position in the kingdom but to erase all the discrimation commited against commoners like them. I really like their motivation to become Wizard King because it's a very noble motivation not like other shonen heroes. At their 15th birthday Asta and Yuno recieve grimoires(magic books that have spells in them),the normal grimoire has three leafs on its clover each of the leaves symbolize faith,hope and love. Yuno recieves recieves the rarest grimoire: The four leaf clover grimoire that symbolizes good luck. But Asta recieves a five leaf clover grimoire that symbolizes a Devil and he recieves the power of anti magic.

I think the story is very interesting and there is a lot of elements that add to it like the variety of the types of magic and the incredible plot twists in the Reincarnation Arc which is surely my favourite arc in this anime: It has the best fights, the vilains have really interesting ideologies so you never know who is right and who is wrong and this arc has many emotional moments

#Characters:

The characters in black clover are very well written. Let's take some of the Black Bulls(Asta's Squad) for example:

Asta is one of my favourite shonen protagonists he has a noble goal and a strong sense of justice,he really never gives up wich makes him very stubborn. He often recieves cruel insults from almost every noble since he is a commoner and has no magic but he brushes them off without getting annoyed but he gets angry when someone deeply insults his comrades.

Noelle is a royal from the house of Silva. Her character development is incredible, she's a royal so she can seem arrogant and she has difficulty in admitting her mistakes. However, due to having been rejected by her own family who had noticed her lack of control over her Magic Power, Noelle developed a slight inferiority complex to her brothers and sister. But because of the Black Bulls' influence especially Asta's, Noelle slowly began to have more confidence in herself to the point where she started controlling her magic, learned many new strong spells and she finally had the courage to face off against her own brother Solid and won

Then there's Luck,my favorite character. Luck has a sociopathic personality where he doesnt' seem to be able to show any expressions but joy. He also loves fighting and defeating his opponents. He can even suggest on putting his opponent into a near death condition without losing his smiles, which earned him the nickname Smiling Battle Maniac. Luck also has an obsession over victory against his opponent without any outside assistance, which stems from his promise to his late mother. But after joining the ranks of the Black Bull for sometime and his encounter with Asta, Luck begins to be able to work as a team alongside his comrades.

Then there's the captain Yami. He is a powerful and Magic Knight who was able to recognize Asta's merits when none of the other Captains would give him a chance because he doesnt' have any magic. He does not discriminate people according to their social status.Yami also loves intimidating his opponents whether he uses threatening words or physically harms his target

#Enjoyement:
One thing that makes Black clover way more enjoyable is the pacing,it's one of the most bingeable animes you can watch 20 episodes in a row and not get bored. Plus, the comedy in this show is really funny. I really enjoyed this anime. The music is also very good wether it's the OST's, the openings or the endings.
