Short story so I will make a short review.
It's April Fools as of this review's publication date and everywhere has gone crazier than last year, at least, in my experience. So I thought it would be a good idea to take up this one-shot conveniently called Opposite Day because it matches today's global theme. So let's have a look at what Opposite Day has to give us.
The story was a masterpiece spectacle. Was legit crying by the end of it, and I never cry. Themes in the story based upon guilt, regret, sorrow, duty, were conveyed so well that I thought I was reading a piece by Shakespeare. I am not even doing justice with this praise as the list goes on forever and ever, you yourself must experience the glory that comes along.
With characters, MC Haruki ~~no I certainly didn't look at the synopsis for characters names I already forgot~~ one of the most intriguing characters here. His responsible actions lead him to do everything in his power to bring back stability in his now dissolving family due to the death of his brother, Hiroki. For such a simple story, I think it is amazing how one can develop so much without feeling melodramatic or doing things for the sake of the story. With Hiroki too, we need to talk about his amazing character. This dude literally pulling 400 IQ plays with him being both alive and dead (is this guy a god or something??). I don't know how he does it, but it gives him that aura of mystery bettering his character and style. Great writing on him!
Art is amazing, expected no less from shoujo, bubbly moments probably outsourced from Shaft with character design that has detail levels comparable to the likes of Berserk, mixed in with ideal male human physique from the likes of Solo Leveling and similar. This hits the demographic and hell would do the same for literally everyone else reading this. You wouldn't have guessed for such a great art would come out of some nowhere manga, people are missing out on this one for sure!
Image of proof:

I enjoyed this so much that I would hands down recommend this to everyone without a doubt in my mind. It is only 18 pages long (16 with actual content), so you can speed through this even if you still have doubt, it won't hurt honestly! Go read it!!
Ah, April Fools. What can I say? My small brain wasn't able to handle the intense swift change with today's theme. You just cannot escape it with this one. Opposite Day is a great story that will tell you the same thing. Reality is often disappointing. But fun alongside it.
Overall - 50/100
What am I doing with my life.
Happy April Fools... I think...
