I'm just gonna put it out there, Black Clover is a criminally underrated masterpiece. I heard people say before that it's "just another typical shounen" and they are right to some extent. But what Black Clover does is that it takes all the good stuff from other shounen anime and makes it 10x better (Ok maybe not 10x but its still good) I understand that it could take a bit of time to get into the show because of its inconsistent animation but once you start getting into the show there's no turning back.

PLOT:
The main characters, Asta and Yuno are two orphans who are abandoned at a poor church in Hage Village in the Clover Kingdom, both of them are raised together by Sister Lily and Father Orsi along with many other children. Asta and Yuno both aim to be strong and become the Magic Emperor and protect the people of the Clover Kingdom. Already the plot sounds like some typical shounen anime like the main character wants to be the strongest and become a certain symbol, but trust me, the way it all unfolds is truly amazing.

Characters:
Okay so now on the strong suit of Black Clover. I feel like all the characters in Black Clover are really interesting and have a lot of personality and depth, especially all the characters from Black Bulls. I personally really like Asta, Yami, Zora, Finral, Noelle and Nero. Every character in this show has been written really well and you never feel like a character is one dimensional or lacking any personality. I'm not gonna go into why I like these characters so much because I wanna keep this as spoiler free as I can.

World Building:
Okay actually this is the real strong suit of the show. The Black Clover world has been divided into 4 kingdoms. The Clover Kingdom, The Spade Kingdom, The Diamond Kingdom and The Heart Kingdom. Each kingdom is very unique and all of them have there own unique characters. All the kingdoms feel very alive and brimming with life. (ahem, welp except spade kingdom)

Final Thoughts:
Should you watch Black Clover? Absolutely. It might feel very boring and uninteresting at the beginning, but keep watching and trust me, its worth the wait. I know I left out the power system in this review but I feel like you should watch the show to fully understand it and get a feel for it.
