I expected way more from this movie cause of how hyped up it was and we’ll it wasn’t that great. However if you are a big fan of demon slayer or if you're someone who is going to watch season 2 of demon slayer this is a must watch movie because its canon and some important events happen.

First I wanna talk about the villains

• First villian, took up like 1 hr 20 min of the movie and he is lamest villian I have ever seen in all of demon slayer, He is so uninteresting, his power is cool but the fact he took up 1 hr 20 min of the movie just to get beat in like 20 min is sad, I’ve seen way cooler villains in demon slayer season 1.

• second villian, appears around like last 30 minutes of the anime and this villian is a "higher up" meaning hes one of the stonger demons and well my problem with this villian is how we don’t know shit. Why did he appear out of nowhere? What’s his motive? He constantly asked rengoku to become a demon but why, why rengoku? Why not someone stronger? I feel like these questions never got answered this man just appears and runs away.

Alright now onto the plot

• plot was ok it’s nothing crazy, main characters are in a train gets attacked by demon and gets put to sleep and they spend like an hour trying to wake up from this sleep and honestly it felt like one big filler it wasn’t that interesting. only thing that kept me interested was rengoku's backstory, and sadly his backstory was only like 10 min of the movie which sucks but what doesn't suck is seeing a little bit more of tanjiro's dad. i feel like tanjiro's dad is the only intresting thing about tanjiro's family but hey that prob just me.

Fighting scenes

• fighting scenes were awesome especially rengoku vs high rank demon, it was very fun to watch, it's very cool seeing a top rank demon slayer going full power and just being absolutely crazy, and seeing this demon go toe to toe with a hashira (stongest demon slayers) was great, too bad this high rank demon didnt get enough screen time. also you've probably noticed ive been saying "this demon" instead of calling him by his name, and well i dont know his name, i dont think they ever said his name in the movie unless i missed it.

Animation

Let’s be real animation is always 10/10, also the cgi used for train and the first villian is very well done. love how vibrant the colors were in this movie, seeing them use their weapon and the trail of colors they left behind were awesome.

Overall this anime is a solid 6/10 for me it was nothing crazy I would rather rewatch season 1 than to watch this movie again.
