Everybody has watched a power of friendship sports Shonen for example Beyblade (which is tbh pretty good) but this one is skateboarding and you can kind of feel a bit of BL here and there.
Spoiler free prbbly.
Plot 7/10
We start with your generic quiet transfer student (Langa) and your other generic happy go (not) lucky student (Reki). So once they meet each other Reki invites Langa to the world of S, an illegal place where dangerous skateboarding races are held and anything goes. So Reki teaches Langa the basics, and he learns really quickly. Then, as generically as ever, they get more friends. This doesn't mean the anime is bad it's just gets predictable at some point but it does have a few surprises from time to time.

Animation 8.7/10
The animation was smooth throughout the anime the coloring was pretty nice. The anime was pretty good at making the races interesting with all the things happening at once and the tricks they did. Yea, that's pretty much it.

Characters 7/10
Like I said before, the characters are pretty generic quiet guy, optimist, over confident guy, past bad guy, etc. Most of the character development is that they get friendlier. But Langa becomes better at skating (if that counts) and starts loving skateboarding more.
As for Reki, he just cries a lot and becomes really depressed.

Music 8.9/10
I really liked the OP (kind of generic) it had a nice beat and the AMV was pretty nice too. The ED was mood really and the singer's voice was relaxing. The OSTs were also nice and were played at the right time but not really memorable where you would remember them and hum them sometimes.

Enjoyment 7.6/10
The anime was pretty enjoyable until episode 7 where things kind of got repetitive and predictable. But some people probably won't mind how generic it is and just want a skateboarding anime. When I review i try to look at thing from different points of view which is why I rate them differently from my lists whereas they're just based on personal enjoyment.

Overall 7.9/10
Being generic might be Sk8 biggest con since it has a unique sport and good animation. Even though I sound like I didn't enjoy the anime, I would like to say that it had some hype moments and at times it surprised me.(am surprised I could reach the minimum)
