If you are thinking of watching one piece then here is a quick reason why I think you should. First, I wanna say that one piece is not my favorite anime and I'm not one of those people who thinks that everyone should force themselves to watch it to be a "real anime fan" or anything like that. but I do really like the show and don't want people to be put off by the length. if you decide to watch One Piece then don't feel a need to watch it all in a few months. of course if you want to, be my guest, but watching even just one episode a day is a good start. then if you want to watch more than once and end up liking it watch us much as you like. Also, people say that it takes till episode 500 or something to get good, which is half true. it doesn't take that long but there is a certain point quite far into the show that makes the show from just "good" or "pretty good" to amazing and is more consistently enjoyable. I say this because in the early few hundred episodes there are a lot of really good parts that make you really love the show but it isn't as often as it is later on in the show. all of this being said I think that the first arc that really gets you into the show and gives you goosebumps because of how good it was for me at least was the "Arlong Park" arc. this is the arc that makes Nami (the crew's navigator) want to join them and is the first really good relatively full-ish length arc. I believe it starts with episode 30 and ends at about 40-50. If you aren't liking the show and aren't interested in the show after that then the show probably isn't for you. If you just know that there are some more slow parts but the show only gets better every arc and I suggest you keep watching even if only one episode every day or so until you reach a point that you really enjoy (which may be right after the "Arlong Park" arc). that being said don't force yourself and don't feel pressured to watch if you don't want to

Rating of individual Aspects of "One Piece"
Characters (10)
- The characters in One Piece in my opinion are one of, if not the best part of the show. They are what make the show so special and what makes you watch for as long as you do, and I think that every single character involved with the story, even the antagonists, are written extremely well.
- The story of One Piece is very well written. It is written with a clear goal in mind but has many obstacles in the way that lead the crew down paths that you think are too much but they always find a way to persevere and come out on top, well almost always anyway.
- The world of One Piece is incredible. the way that Oda (the author) introduces you to the world from the beginning so well but also leaves a lot to reveal about it later while leaving small hints along the way until he finally reveals more and more is very well done. there is no confusion as far as the world goes, but it still leaves a lot to be discovered is one of my favorite things about the show.
