Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train
Summary of my review: Okay-ish to Good but one scene hits hard that made me shed some tears literally.
Story or Plot = 7.5/10:
- This movie takes place in a train called Infinity Train and everything ended in one night which made me speechless, at first I would have thought this story could have been made as a TV Series adaptation but I was wrong. The start of the movie showed them entering the train and fulfilling their objective in killing one of the lower moon demons (I forgot) in which they managed to succeed but it turned out to be in a way a sort of fun movie to watch.
Characters = 7/10:
- It feels a bit weird for me but in sort of a good way just that I will never get the hang of Zenitsu's whining but more useful when he fucking sleep lmao, the comedy aspect of the movie are something I am not really a fan of, at least for the few scenes like Inosuke's dream and Zenitsu's dream but hey it is the first time Nezuko fucking talk in which I applaud the movie, Rengoku's dream and everything about him screams like he will be a fucking legend to me, I even shed some tears when he died like it really hits me so hard with everything about his backstory and to his death scene though when he is dreaming that poor girl should have died honestly because she is in a state where her neck is being strangled or so I think but it should not be possible for her to still be alive but this is anime we are talking about so what can we do lol.
- But on a serious note, both Rengoku and Tanjiro's dream are really sad even if I didn't shed some tears to Tanjiro's dream in which it really isn't that sad if I am being honest though it would be far more painful for Tanjiro if he has to have a nightmare where he will be killing his beloved family members and that would probably make me feel sad for him as he continues to do that until he found out how to escape while clock is ticking where his family members are attacking him.
Animation = 8.5/10:
- I have no qualms regarding the animations of the movie as it is obviously better than the TV Series animation by having it be miles ahead of it though to me, there's no difference other than bigger budget but if I am going to be honest, not everything about the movie animation are good mainly the CGI in which on some scenes it doesn't mesh well for me but well it is probably just people's preferences on how they view animation or anime as a whole.
Artstyle = 7/10:
- Ufotable animating this movie really helped improve some of the character models and how they look like from manga to anime, in which I have nothing bad to say since they are the same models as the TV Series at least I think it is.
Soundtrack = 8/10:
- I have nothing to say but I love the OSTs of the movie and really fits well to the movies and it's scenes so nothing to say but love Kajiura Yuki.
Final Review: I may have rated the TV Series of Kimetsu no Yaiba a "6" just because of that doesn't mean I don't like the anime but more of a mixed opinion for now. Gradually I may come to enjoy the series as a whole and all in all I do think this movie deserve an "8" because I think it deserves it as the staff at ufotable and Kajiura Yuki and also the director of the movie did their hardest to satisfy the fans in which case I applaud.
