As I always do, I do some researches on the anime that is why it takes longer for me to write a review. I don't want to simply just bam a review in without taking effort in it. So I read some comments some peeps did on this anime as well. As far as I can see, many of them really likes this anime and I cannot disagree. It really is an heartwarming anime. But let's analyse it a bit:
#1. Story
The story is simple: a school full of animals which try to make a peaceful life. It is a hard life for both of the types, the herbivorous animals and the carnivorous animals since one could get eaten and one want to eat. We follow the main lead in this story, Legoshi, a wolf with gray fur. He is a very quite student and has his hunting instincts under control.

Legoshi -reminds me of Lego- gets to know the little white bunny Haru, who is in the Cherryton's gardening club alone. Haru gets bullied very often because of her rare race as dwarf rabbit.
#2. Characters
I basically introduced the two main characters in "story" already, so let's see some more about the outside characters:
Louis is a red deer and is the "president" of the school and wants to become a "Beastars" in this anime. He also plays as a star actor in the drama club.

-Wait stop stop stop. What is Beastars?!- To say: "Beastars" is somewhat like a reward, which only be given to those students who stands out in society and try to get the two types of animal together. The animal which get selected as "Beastars" will have high-level careers. So it's like a better chance in life.
-some pics from the manga, maybe it helps-Juno is a female gray wolf student -but her fur isn't gray somewhat sus lol-. She is the one who start to take a liking in Legoshi and bring the whole love story with Legoshi and Haru to the next step.

The other side characters I won't go into detail since they are not that important -at least not in this season lol-.
But I have to give the anime the credit that they created a nice atmosphere in the anime and placed the right action with the right animals. -Somewhat like chess??-
#3. Art / Animation / Soundtrack
I have to say, the reason I started to watch "Beastars" really is the nice art! I'm not really into furries lol. But the animation of fighting and stuff really are nice.
Furthermore, the Soundtrack isn't bad either! -It's not my taste of music, but still.- The animation of the soundtrack is really epic too. One can see, that there is much effort in doing those stuff -since they didn't use the original computer animation but the fabric version.-

If you want to read more, how they did the figures etc, here a link about it: link since I won't be talking more about it -this review is already too long-
Since I talked so much about the Soundtrack, here it is:

#4. Conclusion
All in all I think, it is a really worth watching anime. It is also not that complicated and can be watched when you want to relax -watching some furries lol-. Eventhough it is about animals, I think furry lovers will especially love this one but also no furry lovers can try to watch it as well. It isn't about the animals, it's more the story which makes it more interesting. In my opinion, the season 1 is only a stepcase for season 2. Season 1 makes the watcher more hype for season 2, so get some time, you will definitely want to start season 2 when you completed 1. Since I think Season 1 is worth a watch but if I rate this one too high, it won't do any good to the review for season 2! I'll give it a 9/10.
