At the beginning I really didn't want to start this series because I really wasn't into sports anime/manga, but I eventually got around to watching the anime and just recently finished the manga. Man am I glad I did.
STORY:
The story follows a young boy named Hinata Shoyo, one day after seeing a volleyball match on TV, he was taken aback seeing the amazing skill of a player called the "The Little Giant" and decides to pursue volleyball as his career and become like him despite his short height. Hinata enrolls into Karasuno High School where Little Giant was originally from and meets his old rival from middle school Kageyama Tobio. Together with a bunch of other interesting cast of characters in the volleyball club, they play against numerous different schools to put Karasuno on the map again.

CHARACTERS:I absolutely love all the characters in Haikyu!!, all the characters are really interesting and likeable, even on the opposing teams, there's not a single bad thing I can say about any of the characters in Haikyu!!, each and everyone just feels so real with their own unique personality, from Tsukishima's calm and reserved personality to Tanaka's hot headedness. None of the characters ever feel two dimensional or uninteresting at all and all of them have really good character development. For example, my personal favorite character Kageyama Tobio started out as an asshole who didn't care about what his teammates wanted and only thought about himself. But slowly overtime he learns to be a team player and match his plays to suit his teammates more and take others thought into account.

MATCHES:
Finally, the best part about Haikyu!!, the matches. The matches in this manga are really fucking amazing, the beautiful illustration of Haruichi Furudate really makes the matches come to life. In every panel you can feel the impact of the characters hitting the ball and the ball slamming into the ground, it makes you feel like you are a part of the match and are playing with them, it really draws you in. Haruichi Furudate is also really good at creating really intense moments during the matches, I usually find myself standing and cheering on the characters as they play (weird i know) and the suspense of who's going to win always keeps me glued to the pages.

CONCLUSION:I absolutely love this manga and I find nothing wrong with it, if you are thinking of reading this, go for it. Trust me you wont regret it, and if you're already into sports manga/anime, you'll love it even more.
