In my point of view, Blend-S is a cute anime which you can watch when you have free time. It’s not an action anime, it is just for enjoyment. The anime is designed very cute and yes, you got it, we can see many maids!
So, let’s get started:
#1. Story
The anime "Blend-S" is about a maid cafe. We follow the main lead "Maika" through the whole story. She get to know the boss from the cafe, who want to make her a maid since she is so cute. Each of the maids have a different personality there like Tsundere, Sister, etc.
This anime contains much fan service and is only for entertainment purposes (I mean, anime are just for entertaining purposes, but in some anime you can learn some new stuff). For the story, it doesn't really have much story like it seems in my opinion. You just see the maids at work or in their free time.
#2. Characters
The anime focusses a lot on the characters (since there is no plot) which are very cute and funny. We see how Maika tries to smile but fails for example or just the big nosebleed from the boss. Through the story we can see some small changes on the characters, which make them more realistic.
Our Maika got the role as "Sadistic" in the cafe which is totally not like her appeariance. But as she struggles to smile, her face got all crumbled up and it looks like she is glaring at us!
The other character which I will mention in here is Hideri Kanzaki. Hideri plays the role as a "surprise" in the cafe. I really was a bit curious why surprise at first, when I only saw the intro.
#3. Entertainment
I want to add a point in here, the entertainment part. The anime is quite cute an very happy. Lively characters guaranteed and fun points too. For my personal opinion I think there should be less nosebleed.
It did entertain me that much, that I thought about why not try being a maid in a cafe too, sadly there are not that many cafe who does that.
The length of the anime is well chosen too. I think if the anime would have been any longer, it would have been just boring. Some relaxing, short anime as a snack, that's the perfect discribtion for this one xD
#4. Art / Animation / Soundtrack
I really liked the art and animation. The art is the one I definetely like. It is just smooth and cute and adds up well with the animation. Some parts where the story is a bit exaggerated is thanks to the animation very funny.
I really liked the soundtrack too since it is lively and catchy, but I won't hear it in my daily life. Also it gives an overview of the characters, which I really liked.
Listen to it, if you have some free time!
#5. Conclusion
In the end, story + characters + entertainment + art / animation / soundtrack = 7.5/10! I think it was nice to watch a relaxing anime for some time off. Relaxing your soul with pretty maids lol. Still some minus points because of too much nosebleed. It was funny at some point, but gets annoying if it's too much and that was the point here.
