Where do I even start? I picked up this manga on impulse and I am so glad I did. This was a manga that has been begging for me to pick up for a while and lets just say that I loved every chapter. From the character development to the setting, to the on giong conflicts with romance and the work place. This manga shows characters and relationships be destroyed over time but it also shows how they rebuild themselves. For a manga that tackles anxiety, depression, drug addiction, and many others I feel Kei hit in on the head. What I mean by this is that this manga struck a cord with me. For someone who has dealt and is still dealing with anxiety and depression, this manga did an excellent job portraying what people go through and their internal conflicts. This manga shows real world problems while also being a work of fiction. That is extremely hard to do so I have the upmost respect for Kei Sasuga and how she handled the story. As I said before this manga has everything from drama to romance and even some comedy. Not to mention that there is also mature content. This manga is a roller coaster of emotions that I didn't want to come off of. I love this manga and it will always have a special place in my heart. I strongly reccomend this manga to people who want a lengthy read but one that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time. I liked the ending even though it didn't go exactly how I wanted it to go. What I truly wanted to see in this manga was all the characters happy and I have to say that it did just that. All of the main characters and supporting characters got a happy ending to them and that is what I really wanted to see. As I said before this manga tackles real world problems. And another one of these problems is long distance relationships. I won't delve to deep in this out of respect for readers who might pick the manga up after reading my review but just know that the author did a really good job portraying real life in a fictional setting with fictional characters. Again thank you Kei Sasuga for your amazing manga called Domestic Girlfriend and I look forward to seeing your later works in the future. A parting message that I would like to leave to you today is that, never judge a book by it's cover. Many people look at the cover and think that it will just be another ecchi manga but they are sorely mistaken. Always pick up a manga for yourself and expereince the world the author has pored their heart and soul into. That is the purpose of character building because the point of a character is that they are supposed to make you feel something whenever they are in a scene. Whether you can relate to that character or if you just sypathize, this manga has it all. I strongly suggest you pick up this manga and see for yourself the world of Domesutikku na Kanojo.
